Impact Investment Funds in Canada

Diverse leadership teams are shown to produce exceptional returns, demonstrate greater capital efficiency, and generate more creative ideas and solutions, so it is a smart strategy for investors to include a focus on women-led ventures. However, my theory of change is that who and how we invest is as important, if not more important than what we invest in ("what" is a consequence of "who" and "how" we invest). By creating a product that is attractive to more women investors we are improving leadership diversity amongst investors, giving women, who are still underrepresented amongst impact investors, access to the economic and impact benefits of these types of investments. At Pique Fund, we practice Integrated Investing, which is a methodology and daily practice for making mindful investment decisions to help create a better world. Integrated Investing is radically different from how conventional investment decisions are made (and most impact investment decisions are made similarly when you look at the core approach), by applying a lens of investing as taking care of the village, focusing on access to essential resources, and integrating analysis, emotion, body, and intuition into our investment decisions.
